India for Beginners

India for Beginners is a travel series in which 10 Flemish celebrities, experts in a particular field, discover and investigate their own field of expertise in the fast changing India 21st century. They are helped on their journey by charismatic radio and television presenter Shabnam Sahi, who is their guide and interpreter. 

These ten travellers each have a special fascination for India. The main focus of their journey is to learn more about their specific own field of expertise and how that is handled locally, but of course through their travels they will be exposed to and uncover many different aspects of the Indian society and culture.

The 10 India explorers are Etienne Vermeersch, Kathleen Van Brempt, Giovani Oosters, Delphine Boël, Margot Vanderstraeten, Nic Balthazar, Lieven Scheire, Roland van Campenhout, Annemie Verbeke and Serge de Gheldere.
