India Celebrity Express
Based on the game formula of Kanakna’s international hit Peking Express, six celebrity couples compete with each other in an elimination race. They have to cross the continent, but have to do it on a budget of just 1 dollar per day! They have to find their own means of transportation (hitchhike!) and sleeping arrangements!
The 9 stage journey takes the celebrities –who are absolute nobodies in rural India! - from the snowy summits of the Himalayas to the tropical beaches of the Indian Ocean.
During each stage the celebrity couples have the opportunity to gain an advantage in the race by competing against each other in local games such as elephant polo, salt digging, weaving etc.. At the end of each stage the last ranking couple is dropped from the race. At the end 2 couples will reach the final destination at the Indian Ocean and compete for a considerable sum of prize money for their charity.
