The Empire makes dreams come true – it takes participants and viewers back to the 13th Century AD. It is the Dark ages, a time of great injustice. Where few are rich and have everything and many are poor and have nothing. It’s all about power, whether you have power or you don’t and how power affects you as a human being. Through location, set design, and costumes the perfect illusion is created. The program mixes reality with historically accurate games and duels. There is a games master who takes the role of the ‘the authority’, an omniscient character who acts as a facilitator and is neutral to the outcome.
