The Belgian/Dutch version of the famous "Survivor" series.

8 Flemish and 8 Dutch contestants set off for the adventure of a lifetime as they are dropped on a deserted island to follow the footsteps of Robinson Crusoe. Resources are minimal and weather conditions relentless as they only have each other to rely on during their stay on the island. They compete in a variety of physical challenges. Early in each season, two teams compete, but later the teams are merged and the competitions become individual. At the end of each show, one contestant is eliminated from the show by the others in a secret "Island Council" ballot elimination.
